Warranty Statement –SmartLockifyme Key Locks Canada PTY LTD

Your Rights Under Canadian Consumer Law

In Canada, our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major defect and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. Additionally, if the product fails to meet acceptable quality standards without a major failure, you are entitled to have it repaired or replaced.

SmartLockifyme Key Locks Canada (WPG, MB, CANADA PTD LTD), trading as SmartLockifyme Key Locks, offers this warranty for all SmartLockifyme branded products. This warranty complements any rights and remedies provided under Canadian federal and provincial legislation that cannot be excluded. Nothing in this warranty limits or modifies your legal rights.

SmartLockifyme Warranty

We stand by the quality of our products! SmartLockifyme Key Locks guarantees that each SmartLockifyme branded lock is free from defects in materials and workmanship (including mechanical components) for 12 months from the purchase date, subject to the exclusions outlined below.

Warranty Claims

To make a warranty claim:

  1. Act Quickly: Notify us as soon as a defect becomes apparent and no later than 1 month after discovering the defect.

  2. Provide Documentation: Submit proof of purchase, including the invoice number, your name and address, and a description of the issue.

  3. Inspection: Make the product available for inspection and testing. If no defect is found, the customer will bear inspection and testing costs.

  4. Resolution Options: If the defect is confirmed during the warranty period, we will, at our discretion:

    • Replace the product with the same model or the closest alternative if unavailable.

    • Repair the product free of charge.

    • Refund the purchase price.

Note: Replacement parts may include refurbished or equivalent components if identical parts are unavailable.

Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

  1. Improper installation or failure to follow installation instructions.

  2. Use of unauthorized batteries.

  3. Misuse, accidents, neglect, or external damage.

  4. Modifications or repairs made without prior written authorization.

  5. Use of non-genuine or substitute parts.

  6. Damage from environmental factors like corrosives, high humidity, salt spray, or pollution.

  7. Normal wear and tear.

  8. Products are sold as factory seconds, not purchased new, or used by someone other than the original purchaser.

  9. Damage caused by battery leaks or similar failures.

  10. Personal injury, property damage, or consequential loss.

Limitations

  • SmartLockifyme Key Locks Canada makes no warranties beyond those outlined above.

  • Product specifications and features may be updated or improved without notice.
